General Description

The FCNCS-1EN-1ES is a Fast Ethernet media converter that can convert Fast Ethernet 10/100Base-TX signal to 100Base-FX signal and vice versa. This converter is equipped with an SFP slot that supports any 155Mbps small form factor transceiver (SFP) that complies with the Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) standard to extend data signals (typical copper signals transmission distance is only 100 meters) to the type of 155Mbps SFP transceiver selected. The FCNCS-1EN-1ES Fast Ethernet media converter also comes with the Link Fault Pass-through (LFP) function allowing the network links to be monitored for broken link connections to improve the reliability of the network infrastructure.
